Everyday Faith Devotional INSPIRATION
Inspiration is something we all experience and are familiar with, but it’s difficult to define. Why? Because it’s more a feeling than it is a fact. And what inspires is unique to each individual. Sure, there are general categories of inspiration such as nature, the arts, music, creative hubs, and personalities; but with each person comes a distinct set of criteria.
When Inspiration strikes, we are gripped emotionally and even spiritually. Whatever inspires you has potency and sway; it causes you to dream, act, and even pursue something to great lengths.
Yet, while we know what it’s like to be inspired, we don’t always think about the implications of inspiration. The sources of our inspiration are intended to become agents of action and change within us. In fact, so much of what we use on a daily basis (the internet, mobile devices, social media, and transportation) are all products of someone, or a group of someones, who were inspired and acted on it.
Your ability to be inspired and to inspire others is both opportunity and responsibility. Opportunity to step into the exciting and bring forth something new; and responsibility to ll a world often devoid of hope, love, and grace.
This month’s journey is about helping you discover sources of inspiration, live fully-inspired, and become an inspiration to others.
We believe the world is a better when people like you are lled with inspiration. So we can’t wait to see how you inspire us in return!
