I often find myself running from place to place, meeting to meeting, and task to task. Life can fly past us and, before we know it, we look around to see our
lives spinning out of control. Many of us juggle multiple responsibilities and wear several hats at the same time. Our culture has an obsession with being busy.
But God never intended for us to be so busy or for our schedules to be so chaotic. God desires for us to experience a mix of work & rest, leisure & challenge, and joy & sadness (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). When our lives are out of balance, it becomes impossible to experience harmony in our souls. Harmony is a simple concept to understand – it just means a state of internal calm – but a difficult concept to attain in our ever-busy lives.
This month, we’re focusing on how we can achieve harmony and experience it on a day-to-day basis. When we are living in harmony; that is, when we are living a well-balanced life, we overflow with the grace that God intended for us.
