On the other side of change, we often forget who we once were and what we once experienced. And even if we remember, we don’t always remember in great detail.
This is where a simple tool (and practice) like a journal can come in handy and make a big difference. As you navigate change in your life, you’ll want to remember the changes that are taking place, the feelings you experience as you go through change, and the impact the change has on your life.
Make it a practice to write a few short entries each week detailing fears, doubts, hopes, celebrations, and dreams. Then, 30 days later, make it a habit to go back and re-read what you’ve written to see how far you’ve come. This simple practice will empower you to embrace change and live the life God has called you to.
